Both trails follow the flow of the Waikato River. You will pass through rich farmland, forest and bush, small towns, quiet country roads and bustling Hamilton City, from Ataimuri in the sounth to Ngaruawahia, 169.7 biking kms further north. Come and enjoy the Waikato with us
2 Days / 1 Night | Level 2-3, 85kms | From $245 per person
Drive to Ongarue, safe parking. On day one you are shuttled to Pureora along with your bikes and from here you cycle to either of the Lodges where after a good day’s ride you can enjoy an evening meal and a cosy bed. On day two after breakfast (a packed lunch is provided) you cycle back to your vehicle at your own pace.
3 days / 3 nights | Level 3-4 103kms | $550.00 per person
This trail is easier to do in a south /northerly direction going with the flow of the river. As some of the sections are on road, high vision clothing is recommended. This trail is a combination of intermediate and advanced grades so a good level of fitness is advisable
4 Days / 4 Nights | Levels 1-4, 166.5kms | $1300.00 per person
This package will take you across the Central North Island from the beautiful East Coast with its iconic towns steeped in gold mining history and its magnificent beaches dotted with pohutukawa trees with their fiery red flowers of the summer months. You will cross coastal plains and enter the rugged Karangahake gorge, enjoy the charm of a Tavern that used to be the social hub of gold mining times or visit the quaint Station Café ideal for a break in your journey.
4 Days/4 Nights | Level 1, 163kms | $990.00 per person
If you are content to put in a few kilometres on both fine gravel purpose built paths and then concrete paths and prefer to do without the hard slog of hills, tree roots, tights corners, rocks and all the elements associated with true mountain biking then this is the package for you.

Blue Tui Shuttles and Tours can arrange package deals to suit your needs and your requirements. We take away the hassle and arrange the accommodation, meals and transport. All you have to do is put in the peddle power and enjoy a biking adventure! We can collect from Auckland, Hamilton and Rotorua Airports, take you to your desired cycle trail/trails or choose from our list of cycle tours which cater more for the leisure cyclist. Our cycle tours have been created to incorporate parts of the Hauraki Rail Trail, the Waikato River Trail, the Timber Trail and the Te Awa River Ride and combined to make a 2 to 5 day wonder tour - you are completely looked after! You have vehicle support unless of course you are on a trail in the middle of our beautiful native bush, then a vehicle will be waiting at the end of the trail.
All packages are subject to accommodation availability so get in early to avoid disappointment.
